Reduced Capacity

The North African Nation where this project is carried out, it is estimated that 8 to 10% of the population suffers from some reduced capacity and the vast majority live in areas with little infrastructure and personnel that respond to such need.

What we do

Rehabilitation for people with reduced capacity. The general objective of this sector is to promote all conditions and opportunities for rehabilitation and integration of people with reduced capacity within their context.

To achieve it:

  • Offer a comprehensive rehabilitation treatment aimed at improving the quality of life of children with reduced capacity (disabled).
  • Encourage the integration of the family and community of people with disabilities.
  • Promote the school reintegration of children with disabilities, leading to functional autonomy.
  • Promote the improvement of their situation in health, cultural and social knowledge so that they are active in society.
  • Improve access to health and other basic services for people with disabilities.
  • Promote forms of autonomy and economic independence for their insertion into an active life
  • Offer training and information to families about their children’s disabilities and the appropriate way to take care of their health.

Activities:

  • Continuous rehabilitation, reeducation and social integration programs for children and adolescents with cerebral palsy, favoring their autonomy and independence for hundreds of children and young people.
  • Visio-motor skills for people with physical and mental problems. Helping your recovery in visual, neuromuscular, neurophysiological and neurosensory dysfunctions
  • Specialized medical brigades.
  • Equipment of didactic and therapy material
  • Ongoing training sessions for professional staff and family members
  • Promotion of the sponsorship and scholarship program to access care in the centers.
  • Home visit program for children with profound disabilities who cannot attend the center due to disability limitations, transportation, economic and social situation.
